Ex-commercial manager joins bridging lender after 30 years at NatWest

Specialist lender Bridging Finance Solutions (BFS) has announced the appointment of a new business development manager.

Sue Barron joins BFS following a 30-year stint at NatWest, where she had most recently served as business and commercial manager.

Sue said: “This is a huge leap for me, but one that I’m incredibly positive about.

“I’ve worked in a huge corporate organisation for over three decades, so to be able to look at finance from a fresh angle, with a different perspective, is really exciting.”

Sue will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s customer base in the Midlands by creating new contacts and introducing bridging to her existing network.

“Through the years at NatWest, I’ve created some fantastic contacts among brokers and, of course, those that work in-house for the larger financial institutions,” Sue explained.

“I see my role at BFS to educate those that I feel could benefit from bridging and ensure they understand how and when it could and should be used.

“Finance is no longer a one size fits all offering – there are alternative options available that can support a wider deal or transaction and people are becoming increasingly switched on to this.”

Steve Barber, managing director of BFS, added: “The appointment of Sue is a real coup for us. She is a well-respected figure in banking and has vast knowledge of the sector.

“We are aiming for geographical coverage in terms of business development at BFS in the coming two years and this latest development takes us a step further in achieving this.”
