Dragonfly fills senior roles after CEO steps down

Dragonfly Property Finance has announced D’mitri Zaprzala as its new Head of Sales and Matt Smith as Director of Risk and Recoveries.

The news follows the recent announcement that Jonathan Samuels will be standing down as CEO with Mark Posniak moving up to Managing Director.

Both D’mitri and Matt have been promoted from their roles as Business Development Manager (BDM) and Head of Credit and Servicing respectively.

D’mitri, who will be filling Mark’s previous role, said he is looking forward to taking over from where his predecessor had left off.

‘‘My role since joining Dragonfly has been to develop the introducer base and generally spread the word, and as head of sales I’ll be doing much the same but with a far broader remit and even more responsibility,” said D’mitri.

Matt, meanwhile, was Dragonfly’s first employee and has been with the lender since 2010.

“Helping build Dragonfly into the lender it is today has been a fantastic journey but it’s a journey that is far from finished and I am excited at the plans for the company in the weeks and months ahead,” said Matt.

Mark added that Matt had been integral to Dragonfly’s success while D’mitri has had a massive impact since his arrival in 2013 to help the business strengthen its introducer base.

“A lender is only as good as its loan decisions and Matt’s forensic understanding of, and nose for, risk has protected Dragonfly from day one,” said Mark.

“He has been instrumental in shaping this business and allowing us to lend in the volumes we have.

“I have no doubt that both will play an even more important role moving forward.”

D’mitri won BDM of the Year at the 2015 Bridging and Commercial Awards.
